Make and stop a data acquisition

Notes
In this article, you will find two videos on data acquisition with the software:
The first one explains how to start an acquisition and the second one how to stop and save the data.

A) Acquisition START

B) Acquisition STOP

C) Details of the steps

Starting an acquisition

Preparation of acquisition slots

Once you have defined the phases, groups and subject of your study, the next step in ACQUISITION is to acquire the physiological signals. This involves recording physiological data on the server, controlled by the software.
Here are the steps to follow to register your animals:
  1. Create your acquisition session by completing the three previous elements: the group, the subject, and the phase.
    1.  Click on   one of the acquisition SLOTS (one slot = one antenna dedicated to recording a subject)
    2.  Fill in the required fields SELECT PHASE, then GROUP and SUBJECT (You can also enter the animal's weight and the serial number of the jacket.
    1.  Click on CREATE to confirm
  1. Connect the emitter associated with your animal to your previous acquisition session.
    1. Click on CONNECT

    1. Click on SEARCH, STOP SEARCH to refresh the transmitters available in the room. The numbers displayed are the SERIAL NUMBERS of each transmitter. They are printed on the labels on each transmitter.

    1. Click on CONNECT next to the transmitter to be paired with the slot, then once it turns green, click the X to close the window.

Launch of a continuous/manual recording acquisition

  1.  Start acquisition
    1. Click on START for each acquisition slot that is ready, or on START SLOTS to launch several acquisitions at the same time. If the acquisition is ‘programmed/automatic’, the START button will be replaced by LAUNCH.

Launch of a scheduled recording acquisition

  1. Launch SCHEDULED acquisition

[Optional] If you need, you can start your recording with a X-hour BASELINE or a recording to pre-validate your signals using the START/STOP [1, manual mode] button located in the three dots of each acquisition slot (You can repeat the action if necessary)
Info
This procedure allows you to start an acquisition that will be integrated into the individual's file without starting the scheduler mode.
Then, start the X-hour recording program using the clock button and then LAUNCH [2].

During an acquisition,

it is possible to :

  1. ·        Validate signals and add markers if necessary.
    1. To validate the signals, use the button     to stop the signal from running without stopping the recording, but also the buttons   to zoom in on the signals.
    2. To place a marker, fill in the individual or collective MARKER field and then press the ‘Enter’ key on your keyboard. The marker is taken into account when the notification appears at the bottom left of your screen

Acquisition stop

Stop and CLOSE a continuous/manual recording acquisition

Stop recording your session and then close it, which will allow you to save it and start the next one. Click STOP for each acquisition slot or STOP SLOTS to stop multiple acquisitions at the same time. Click the CLOSE button located in the three dots of each acquisition location to close the acquisition.

Stop and CLOSE a scheduled recording acquisition

If the acquisition is “scheduled/automatic” as for the 24-hour period and the last action is a Close, there is nothing to do. If you need to stop the current program, you can use the ABORT button, which can be accessed by clicking on the clock.
If you forgot to include a close in your program, use the CLOSE button located in the three dots of each acquisition location to close the acquisition.
Info
Please note: stopping with ABORT will not allow you to restart the recording program at the point where you stopped it. moment ou vous l’avez arrêté.
